Electro-Polished

A wide range of our trim tabs are available in an electro-polished finish. This is a process that improves the surface finance of the blades and provides greater protection from the elements.

What is Electro-Polishing? Electro-Polishing is a process that improves the surface finish of our 304 stainless steel trim tab blades. Electro-Polishing delivers a smoother, more reflective surface than our standard mill finish and improves surface cleanability. Electro-Polishing dissolves free iron, inclusions, and embedded particles from the surface of our trim tabs. Lenco’s in-house process improves the near- surface chemistry of the material, and promotes the formation of an improved corrosion resistant surface layer.

Benefits: • Removes iron and potential contaminants from the surface of our trim tabs. • Removes a small amount of material from the surface of our trim tab blades, also removing small burrs. • Enhances the chromium and nickel content providing added resistance against environmental factors such as air, fresh and salt water. • Polishes areas inaccessible by any other polishing methods. • Provides a clean and smooth surface that is aesthetically pleasing.

Edge Mount Trim Tab Kits 12V System

WARRANTY YEAR

Designed for boat applications where a lower actuator mounting height is desirable. Actuator mounts at the trailing edge of the blade giving it a 1/2" (1.3 cm) lower mounting height on 9" (22.9 cm) long blades & 3" (7.6 cm) lower mounting height on 12" (30.5 cm) long blades. All edges are turned up for added strength and style. The Edge Mount blades are constructed of 12-gauge (2.7 mm) laser cut 304 stainless steel with 1" (2.5 cm) turned up edges and a 5 degree taper on both sides to the trailing edge, & 1/8" (3.2 mm) diameter hinge pin.
